Hello Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!
TGIF appearing later than usual because Chrono had his stuff to do and my laptop was at the repair shop because of the yoke that keeps the screen in place. I don't know how to explain, but basically, the plastic is shitty and needed to be repaired before my screen fell. Anyway - here we are!
This week I took the time to watch some short films featured on the Oscars 2021: If Anything Happens I Love You, which was fantastic; Canvas, which was also good but it lacked something for me; and A Lovesong for Latasha, telling the story of Latasha Harlins through interviews with families and friends.
I'm also watching Eurovision 2021! My first year following the event and I must say it's great fun - it's just a shame that the app doesn't allow me and my Brazilian location to vote. But I'll vote one day, just wait for me! Excited for the finals tomorrow; I'll wait to listen to the rest of the songs, but I think my favourite, so far, is Iceland (even if I'm addicted to Cyprus' El Diablo). I had heard a few of Daði og Gagnamagnið songs before and I love their style, so simple and also so emotional. They also seem like such nice people to be around! Songs aside, what the hell was that Greek girl outfit?! Fucking awesome - even if her performance was kinda meh in my opinion.
I've finished reading Perfect Rhythm and now I'm finally ready to tackle The Dark Forest, second chapter in the Earth Remembrance trilogy by Liu Cixin.
Queen's Song of the Week (I know I cheated by linking a few songs above, but anyway, I was quite happy to find this song on Spotify and now I remembered how beautiful Stefanie's voice is):
How was your week Dtoid? Any fun plans for the weekend? Watch, play or read anything new worth sharing? Let us know down in the comments and as always, happy gaming!
