TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!

I'm so thankful for that too. Even though I probably should have, I didn't work much overtime this week and decided to take both days off. It's been a very long, stressful two weeks recently so I decided to dial back a bit and get some relaxing in for my own mental health. I needed a break. So here I am, writing this and sipping on my coffee with absolutely zero plans for my day. Honestly, just the way I like it haha.

Tomorrow, me and the gf are going to go see the new Spider-Man in theatres since we live in the middle of nowhere basically and the theatre near us has been mostly empty the last two weeks. If we were still living in the city, I'm guessing Spidey's theatre would still be packed even after it's been out for so long. I guess that's one positive of living in this area in the middle of a global pandemic. Even though I've seen a few small spoilers because IGN loves posting them as article headlines...bastards...I'm very excited to watch the new Spidey movie.

We finished watching Marvels Eternals last night and we actually enjoyed it. Not one of our favorites but I definitely thought critics and some fans were being to harsh on it. It was enjoyable for what it was. I thought it would work better as a tv series so they would have more time to better introduce the long living characters. Maybe I'd even like it more as a stand alone Marvel movie and not connected to the rest of the MCU. That said, if the villain from this movie makes an apperance in the rest of the movies, things are about to get crazy.
