Hello, Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!
Happy April's Fool!... Is that even something people say? Goddess, I detest this day; if people had at least the creativity to invent good jokes. Anyway, here we are in the fourth month of 2022 already!
I've read Gideon the Ninth, and I know it's early, but I think this is going to be my favourite book of the year! If not, then it has absolutely entered my list of favourites. Also read Upright Women Wanted, which had a great premise but was so thin and random.
I've watched Titane (detested it, no matter how many times you say this will become a classic) and In the Crosswind (an Estonian film composed almost entirely of tableaux vivants - definitely a unique experience). Also watched the first episode of Moon Knight and damn, that was good! My favourite first episode of all the MCU series so far (though Loki comes very close behind), even more excited to see the rest now. I discovered that Pachinko (the historical book I read two weeks ago) has just earned a TV adaptation. I'm not sure if I liked the first episode. I didn't like the non-linear aspect, and old Sunja seemed too salty. But it was still nice to see the characters on-screen, so I'll give it more chances.
