Hello, Destructoid! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday!
Weather has been fluctuating this week. It started with cold, then we had hot weather for a day and a half, and then suddenly it started raining. We'll see what the weekend has in store for us (hopefully cold).
I've read The Night Watch, which concludes my reading of all Sarah Waters novels 🙌🏻 This one is up there as one of my favourites, even though the last three books I read didn't have so big of an impact as Fingersmith (which I consider one of my favourite books ever) and Tipping the Velvet (or Affinity, that book is haunting). But it was a wild and very enjoyable ride. Looking forward to reading whatever she writes next (and kind of hoping it'll be set in Wales, though that's unlikely...).
I've watched Murmur of Youth (a simple and sweet Taiwan film that can be a bit boring at times, but those last thirty minutes are totally worth it), Borgman (I still prefer Funny Games and Yorgos Lanthimos' films), and You Won't Be Alone (Noomi Rapace likes weird horror films, huh? Not that I'm complaining even though having her on the poster is more of a marketing strategy! This one features a different and engaging perspective on the witch lore).
