TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning all! It's that wonderful time of the week! It's Friday! This week went crazy fast for me, which I'm definitely happy about. Work is still insanely busy and will continue to be so until the end of the year since everyone is doing last minute medical shit trying to beat the clock on when their insurance benefits reset. Gotta love insurance! Ugh. Had one really bad day but other then that, was able to keep my cool for the most part haha.

I FINALLY beat Baldur's Gate 3 in just over 140 hours. Lovely game! Held back by some unfortunate PS5 issues that made me kinda wish I waited for it to be patched up a bit but even with those, I still give the game a 10/10. The amount of shit you can do and the crazy many different story branches you can see depending on your choices is insane. Larian really pulled off something special here.

I was being pulled back and forth between my next big game purchase either being Alan Wake 2 and Spidey 2. Even though I wanted Spidey 2 a bit more, I decided to give my money to Alan Wake 2 to support Remedy and I was also feeling like I wanted a new, fresh horror experience and AW2 seemed like that. Insomniac will be just fine with Sony supporting them, so they'll get my money at a later date.

The wife will be taking over my game room this weekend so she can put more hours into Baldur's Gate 3 herself as she's currently loving the game as well. That just give me more time to play Super Mario Wonder on the Switch in the living room...I'm currently juggling 5 games. AW2, UFC 5, Decarnation, Super Mario Wonder and The Colisto Protocol...Send help. I also have Super Mario RPG remake arriving day one in the middle of the month since I had to pre-order that lol. This has been a fantastic year for gaming but holy shit my bank account.
