How to vanquish the skeletons in Hogwarts Legacy

To eliminate the skeletons in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need the spell Incendio. When you use it, the skeletons (their in-universe name is actually Inferius) will burn around you. They are then susceptible to your main attacks. Confringo also works, but Incendio is more effective as it covers a wider area.

An effective way to take them out is to group them together near you with Accio and then using the Incendio as it surrounds you. Bombarda’s an effective follow-up. Additionally, Depulso can push these burning skeletons towards others, putting them on fire too.

These skeletons will keep popping up, so make sure you keep either Incendio or Confringo in your primary spell loadout. You can also find traits that will reduce the damage taken from Inferius monsters.

Strangely, Incendio is not one of the 10 best spells in Hogwarts Legacy.

What do you get from eliminating Inferius?

Inferius will drop Stench of the Dead. That’s used for making Thunderbrew Potion at cauldrons in the Potions classroom or in the Room of Requirement. This potion creates storms around you, causing damage to surrounding enemies; it will last for 30 seconds.

If you want to find Stench of the Dead, the best place to go is Keenbridge‘s graveyard. It’s northeast of the small village. It’s a little far out from the living area over the bridge and north of the Merlin’s Trial there.
