With your handy fishing rod, you can catch an octopus in The Docks and The Overlook areas of the new DLC A Rift In Time. Head over to the water and try to spot a blue puddle in the ocean. With three timed taps of your button, you’ll have this mollusk in no time.
Unfortunately, you can’t catch an octopus in the base game. You will need to upgrade to the new expansion. Sadly, it’s not included with an Xbox Game Pass subscription (at least as of the time of writing).
What is an Octopus worth?
If you visit Goofy’s stall with an Octopus in hand, you can get 290 gold for it. It also provides 700 energy if you eat it raw. That sounds pretty gross to me, but you do you.
The Octopus can also be cooked with. It counts as an ingredient for the expensive five-star dish Bouillabaisse. Combine it with two shrimp and two tomatoes, and you’ll get an amazing dinner. I was able to sell it for 1,494 gold at the stall.
