I don't have to tell you guys this, but I will anyway: Destructoid has the best community on the internet. Over the ten-plus years I've been around and five-plus I've been on staff, I've made friends, colleagues, met several community members from far and wide, and even met my wife — all thanks to the power of community.

So when a community member gets involved in the industry, it's our civic duty to highlight their achievements and shill their wares on the site! After all, you get what you give.

Eagle-eyed readers will recall darrenhupke's first project, compiling a sweet coffee table book filled with screenshots from all Sony-published titles on the PlayStation 1. How do I know it's sweet? Duh, I have a copy! Not content to just publish one PS1 compendium, creator Darren Hupke is back at it with another book highlighting all Capcom-published games on Sony's first little beast of a console.

Capcom's PlayStation: A Chronological Visual Retrospective features over 45 games, 275 pages, and 750 screenshots similar to the first project, now complete with a little writeup and/or trip down memory lane for each game. Included are all-time classics such as Resident Evil (with the book covering all three versions released on PSX), Mega Man Legends, and Dino Crisis, but also some lesser-known titles such as Street Fighter: The Movie (which was Capcom's first PSX release!) and Freestyle Boardin' '99. If Capcom dropped it on the PlayStation, Darren is here to pick it up.

When asked about the project, Hupke said, "I decided to do this project based on a follow-up from my last project. I’m a huge PlayStation fan and nostalgia nerd for this stuff from my childhood and if I’m being honest, I’m doing this for myself! I want this book on my shelf so I can thumb through it and remember and reflect on all these games I loved years ago. I know others will love it, too, but it didn’t exist and since no one else was going to do it this way I decided to do it myself! Looking back at a complete set of games from specific publishers in chronological order is ridiculously niche and nerdy, but it’s rad."

The most impressive part of all of this is the work that went into it. Instead of relying on ancient press screens, scans from magazines, or random internet searches, Hupke pulled each and every screenshot manually.

"I wanted to keep the 'visual' part of the book as the driving reason to dive in to it. So the screenshots are all a majority of the page real estate and each game has a minimum of 16 screenshots, one of which is a giant double page spread. For technology reasons I emulated the games and captured thousands of screens shots mapping a snapshot button to my controller. I’d play through most games as much as I could and use community saves to find key moments and late game scenes, secrets and bonus content, as well."

After 10 years can't we make Guild Peace instead of Guild War?

I've never played this one but I watched the trailer, and there's a lot going on! Don't rue going rogue with some rouge roux

It's Thursday, so you know what that means! No, not being disappointed that Harmonix still hasn't added in "You Get What You Give" as Rock Band DLC. That's certainly my Thursday tradition, but it doesn't have to be yours. I'm of course talking about Super Rare Games putting out another limited-run game on Switch! Well I've got good news, and I've got bad news. The bad news is, I dropped my Switch in the pool because I'm an idiot and now it doesn't work anymore. Can Nintendo fix that? Or is it too late for me? I can't play Superliminal on Switch from Super Rare Games, as a result. Life is cruel, life is tough. Life is crazy, then you drop your Switch in the pool.

There's nothing I love more than giving out exclusives! The folks over at Cyanide & Happiness just announced their newest crowdfunded card game project, Master Dater, and figured the best way to get people to care is to bribe them! I'm putting words in their mouths, here, but as Destructoid's Official Contest Czar and Official Drunken Public Dabbing Enthusiast, I feel like I've gained the power to do so.

Life is all about change. I recently moved to Denver to get a nice change of pace in life, but now have found myself back in Phoenix among the cacti and sand. I was in a snowy hot tub three weeks ago, and now I'm looking at 96 degrees this Saturday. 96 degrees in March! Why?! I miss the ice forming in my hair as I enjoy the single-digit temperature around me while Tears for Fears lulls me into ultimate Good Vibes mode. Pic included for posterity's sake.

Feelin' the pangs for some more Lo Wang

Since returning to Earth after traveling the voids of space for the Kidney Stone, the secret eighth Infinity Stone, and rescuing the world from very painful urination, I've settled back into giving away games. Sure, I could have kept my lifestyle as a playboy Space Pirate, traipsing from galaxy to galaxy with my whimsical misadventures and wanton promiscuity — but then who would give you guys free stuff? I didn't exactly have a choice in the whole thing.

Well, in my travels I met a shaman who gave me keys for Shadow Warrior 3. I'm not sure what a space mage was doing with video games from Earth, or how he knew my exact pants size (even the length!), but either way, I can't use 'em so I figured you guys would like them.

Did you watch the video above? There was a giant demon chicken thing and I'm a little confused. Not because they're super uncommon or anything, but because the magic lady had some Rita Repulsa hair going on there. Weird!

Suffice to say Lo Wang did it again, people. This time he unleashed an ancient dragon and now must stuff it back into the to-go box from whence it came. It's not as easy as folding down the sides and sitting on top of it until it squishes down enough to close the latch, mind. Something about a dead god's mask, a dragon egg, and maybe an old Kenny G vinyl. They don't have boxes for these anymore so it's hard for me to cheat off the back of it, but I'm pretty sure all of those are right. I've also put some bullet points in case you clicked on this article needing to be sold on a free $60 MSRP video game.

If I could turn back time

What's the big deal with Sifu? Like, every time I wake up I'm older. So, what, now you build a game around that mechanic? I've been doing it for 35 years, people; get with the program!

Well I guess it's different when you're a kung fu master. Also different when you die you come back to life, but exponentially older. And since, you know, no one has made any games about Wes Tacos.

Not yet, anyway.

Where was I? Oh yeah, my super ultra best friends over at Tinsley (get your peeps to get working on that Wes Tacos game, Tinsley crew) hooked me up with some Sifu keys to give away!

Read our official review here, but suffice it to say if you like a challenge, this one's for you! Sifu is a story of vengeance. A bunch of young punk martial artists up and killed your fam. Now, it's up to you to hunt them down, taking out any and all minions along the way. Learn new moves, acquire new techniques, and most of all, don't die! Each life ages your character, taking him from an angsty teen to a tired septuagenarian with the experience to fight, but the body to fail. Balance your life lest you age out of fulfilling your mission.

But there's good news! Like any difficult game, the a-ha! moments come when you master the game's mechanics and improve as a player, as opposed to ethereal skill points determining your fate. I'm terrible at video games so I've never personally experienced such an epiphany, but I'm guessing if you're here you're much better at this sort of thing than I am. Pretend in the gif below that video games are the badass bearded dude, and I'm the little weenie flying off the edge. It's pretty bad.

We all have a hunger

What's the hungriest you've ever been? If it came down to it, would you eat trash? The family pet? Your cousin Pat? These are the questions posed by multiplayer survival game Dread Hunger. As I don't know how to cook I'd probably be screwed either way, but now you can experience for yourself just how far you'd go to survive!

Well, this is a new one to me! Dread Hunger is an eight-person survival game with a twist -- two players are traitors, sent to kill the others using any means necessary. Like sabotage or magicks or outright murder. Then, I guess you can eat them! Ya gotta survive, right? That's kinda the point of the game.

Read these bullet points I copied from Steam:

• Survive the Arctic
  Build fires to stay warm, fend off wolves and other predators, and hunt for food to stay alive in the brutal and unforgiving Canadian Arctic.

Mighty Goose

Geese are pretty much the entitled assholes of the avian order. They're mean, they're aggressive, they're numerous, and they make that awful noise. They're really a nuisance. But hey, we've gotten some good video games from them as of late! Well, here's another.

Waddle, run, and gun through nine destructive levels clearing out high fidelity pixel art enemy bases so intergalactic nature can finally heal. The leader of team Mighty Goose is Mighty Goose, but his friends refer to him as Goose. As a professional avian space stalker, rivals are always bound to rear their ugly beaks, like fellow fowl Raven. The villainous Void King sends Raven and his army to imprison Goose’s animal friends in Void bases and take out the belligerently blaring bounty hunter for good.

Seriously, geese are on a real hot streak as of late.

Start under-the-table relationships with local governments, grow small coca and cannabis farms into massive productions, and build a sprawling supply chain of farms, workshops, laboratories and smuggling fronts. Set up intricate laundering enterprises to clean dirty cash flows with a variety of cover businesses.

Similar to the likes of Frostpunk or Rise of Industry, Cartel Tycoon is designed to be a challenging experience. Drug superprofits are both a blessing and a curse, with rapid growth of business making  survival difficult. The kingpin’s life gets more dangerous as they find more success. Rival cartels will try to reclaim territory, local authorities watch for suspicious money moves, and the DEA, FBI and CIA wait like vipers to clamp down on the entire operation. Flows of product and cash always leave trails that will attract attention from your enemies. Death is inevitable, whether from a knife in the dark, a mutinous lieutenant, or a gang war gone south.

This official mobile game was created in conjunction with the series' creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg.

Players fight for glory by utilizing a simple combat system that becomes more strategic and fast-paced as rare Wild Cards and special combos are introduced to create advantages and secure an upper-hand in battle. Predict what your opponent will do based on their deck and fighting skills and show no mercy.

Prospective black belts can take the fight online against other players, where glory awaits in a competitive, synchronous multiplayer mode against other fighters from around the world. Just remember, there are no bad students, only bad teachers, so build powerful decks for each character's specialties, and get a body bag for your opponents all over the globe!

Build up students from cream puffs to champions by leveling them up, expanding Cobra Kai or Miyagi-Do to recruit new fighters, and compete in the All Valley Karate Tournament. Future content expansion plans will add stories from the third season of Cobra Kai and beyond, alongside new competitive tournaments and additional characters.

The Official Videogame

In today's contest you can win Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 4!

Look, I just refuse to put the "The Official Videogame" part in this title. It's just too long. Monster Energy Supercross 4 is a perfectly fine title without having to complicate things by noting that's it's the official videogame of the brand. Are there imposters? Is there an unofficial version? We can just assume it's official at this point.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this one. You play as a doll, Red, whose arm was stolen by a dwarf. Oh yeah and the battle scenes are a weird mix of Rock Band (still waiting on New Radicals, guys), shmups, and RPGs.

There's a lot going on here, but rest assured it'll be a good time.

I think I prefer The Lonely Island
