Two volumes in 2013
Announced today via the Nintendo Direct Mini showcase, a Mega Man Battle Network Switch collection is on the way, and it’ll feature 10 games.
Originally released in 2001, Capcom’s tactical RPG spinoff hit the ground running, and eventually saw a number of sequels, including a few “different version” launches similar to how Pokemon handles things. A “complete” edition with everything sort of solves that problem in the modern era.
Nintendo says that there will actually be two volumes (Volume 1, and Volume 2, which are “each sold separately”) to contain all those games, and that the release is coming in 2023. The Mega Man Battle Network collection on Switch will also sport a gallery “with over 1000 illustrations,” and “over 150 songs from across the series.” Capcom has confirmed that the re-releases “feature optional high-resolution filters that allow players to enjoy smoother, less pixelated visuals,” and “players can turn the filters off/on at any time if they would prefer to enjoy the original visuals of the Battle Network games.”
You can find Volume 1 on the Nintendo Store here, and Volume 2 here. Of note, Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation and Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS do not seem to be part of this collection.
