That early game progression is easy for people who are just booting up the game for the first time. You get to explore everything and find all sorts of resources, but as a veteran, we sometimes forget where things are. So, to upgrade your potions, you’ll need to find Gallowvine, so here is its location in Diablo 4.

This item can be found in all areas of the Sanctuary map. You’ll have to search around for plants and shrubs. The Gallowvine isn’t region-specific

To find this crafting item easier, head over to your options and set the Object Highlight Color to something that can catch your eye. Ideally, you don’t want to use red as that is commonly used for enemies.

It’ll help you locate items you’re farming a lot quicker since these oftentimes can blend in with environments. Also, turn on In-game Loot Sounds so you know you have harvested the material.

You’ll need about 84 units of Gallowvine to upgrade your Healing Potion from its base to the level 90 Superior variant. Of course, with upgrading your potion, you’ll need rarer resources. At first, you do need the starter crop materials which are easy to miss if you’re a veteran player.

Chances are, when starting a new character as someone who already beat the story, you’ll skip all the early-game stuff which includes farming for resources like this. Potions help a long way, especially as you get into the endgame content where enemies can easily stun you and inflict fatal damage.

If you are somehow having trouble finding Gallowvine, you can always go to an Alchemist and refine resources. Essentially, you can convert other resources to gain those that you lack.

For example, you can use any of the following resources to craft batches of Gallowvine:

  • Reddamine
  • Biteberry
  • Blightshade
  • Lifesbane
  • Howler Moss

Since higher-ranked players might skip certain regions in the game, other collected resources can come in handy to increase the power of potions.
