Where to find the Flying Takoyaki in Like a Dragon Gaiden

Someone call Yagami, we got another UFO.

Helping the denizens of Sotenbori sometimes means being an amateur photographer. The Puzzle-Solving Girl in Like a Dragon Gaiden offers such a quest — to find the ‘Flying Takoyaki’ and bring back a picture.

You’ll run into the Puzzle-Solving Girl at the Stijl Bar in the northern part of Sotenbori. Head inside the elevator and find her against the wall wearing a sporty pink jersey. Chat her up, and she offers you an Akame Network request to complete: ‘Find the Flying Takoyaki!’ It’s apparently urgent, and I’m not surprised. Anyone who has played Lost Judgment knows this isn’t the first time we’ve had to deal with UFOs.

Thankfully, we don’t have to spend a long time scanning the skies for low-flying drones. The request details offer a hint: Head to Shofukucho St, where the floating foodstuff was last seen. The fastest way is to leave the bar, turn left, and then head south over the bridge. Turn right at Shofukucho St and keep walking until you reach the end.

Once you reach the corner, hold out the camera and look around until you see the massive takoyaki sign above a small restaurant. It’s not exactly “flying,” per se. But from the street’s angle, it does kind of look like it is, right? Anyway, consider this your hint that maybe the Puzzle-Solving Girl’s requests are a tad embellished. We’ll see more examples of that later.

Snap a picture, and return to the Puzzle-Solving Girl for your reward.

‘Find the Flying Takoyaki’ isn’t your only photography request in Like a Dragon Gaiden. You’re also tasked with taking shots of clown statues, each one jarringly creepier than the last. Seriously, someone needs to be brave and ask developer Ryu Ga Gotoku what the deal is with its bizarre interest in clowns.
