Another Code: Recollection Frannie's Puzzle Box solution

In Another Code: Recollection, young Frannie had a promising career ahead of her as an escape room or Resident Evil puzzle designer. She has a box that is locked by a mechanism controlled by dolls. So how do you open it?

In Frannie’s room, if you examine the colorful box on top of the bookshelf, D will tell you that there’s something important involving Frannie’s wooden dolls. Furthermore, if you try to open that box, it won’t budge. There’s one doll on top and divots for two more.

The doll of Frannie’s father is in the same room, closer to the door. It’s at the bottom of a box filled with building blocks. When you interact with it, you’re then able to mouse over the blocks and click them, one by one, removing them from the pile. Once you get to the bottom, you can pick up Frannie’s doll.

The doll is missing an arm, which, as D will tell you, is because the man himself was actually missing his right arm, presumably having lost it in WWII.

The last doll is in the room of Frannie’s parents nearby. It’s located in a drawer in the vanity up near the beds, alongside a Dear John letter. The doll is a depiction of Frannie’s mother.

Take all the dolls back to the box. The only hint you have to go on is that the dolls need to get along. This is a pretty vague hint. However, if you put Frannie in the middle and an adult on either side, it becomes clear that their arms are in a pattern. They all need to hold hands, and since Frannie’s father is missing his right arm, that means he needs to go all the way on the left, so his left arm can reach Frannie’s Right. You can see this demonstrated in the header image.

So, the final pattern is father, Frannie, mother. The box will open, and you’ll get the sprout key.
