Another week is beginning in Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish. And alongside the season’s first bout of Iron Banner, more Starcats have appeared in the game. So it’s time to stop farming the new Warload’s Ruin Dungeon and start searching for the four new felines. Double the kitties over last week’s two Week 1 Starcats.
The Starcats are a Season 23 collectible in Destiny 2. While the cats don’t provide any in-game benefit, they do come to hang out in the H.E.L.M. once found. For Week 2, Guardians will have to search high and low for the Starcats, including a trek back to some classic Lost Sectors.
Temple of the Queen’s Wrath Starcat
Similarly to Week 1, one of this week’s Starcats lies in wait within the Riven’s Lair activity. Also, similar to Week 1, this Starcat requires a little luck, as the path through Riven’s Lair is random. Furthering similarities, savvy players can score the Temple of the Queen’s Wrath Starcat during the Week 2 seasonal mission: Tautology
During the mission, players will eventually reach a room with three braziers and dead-end halls to the left and right. If players head into the right hallway and turn right again, the Starcat will be sitting behind a pillar.
Chamber of Starlight Starcat
If players are collecting Starcats while they catch up on Week 2 of the seasonal story, they can nab another right after completing Tautology. After the mission, Guardians will be tasked with recovering an item from the Chamber of Starlight Lost Sector. Coincidentally, that’s where the next Starcat is hanging out.
Once players fight their way to the heart of the Lost Sector, the Starcat can be found in the same chamber as the chest and quest objective. To the right of the chest, there’s a raised circular platform with a cloth-covered table at one end. The Starcat is sitting on the table.
Bay of Drowned Wishes Starcat
While the prospect of finding a tiny Starcat within the large, open Bay of Drowned Wishes Lost Sector may seem daunting, it’s not actually so bad. The Starcat isn’t hiding in the spacious opening of the locale, but at the end.
After Guardians fight their way to and through the cave where the Lost Sector’s boss resides, the Starcat awaits. To the right of the chest, sitting by two explosive orbs, this Starcat is playing a dangerous game.
Aphelion’s Rest Starcat
The Starcat in the Aphelion’s Rest Lost Sector can be easily missed if players don’t know what to look for. Thankfully, some clue text included with the associated Triumph makes the ordeal much simpler.
The Aphelion’s Rest Starcat Triumph notes that this particular Starcat “likes to sit in the bowl.” With that in mind, there’s one larger bowl-like object that’s part of the scenery behind the boss. The Starcat is hiding in here, just out of sight.
Where do the Week 2 Starcats go?
Last week, we had Starcats taking up their homes on Mara’s throne and to the left of the War Table. This week, the trend continues, with even more cats hiding around the H.E.L.M. And these curious little cuties aren’t afraid to explore other wings from previous seasons.
The Starcat from the Temple of the Queen’s Wrath almost makes its way into the Eris Morn’s Athenaeum. However, instead of jumping through the portal, the Starcat found a cozy spot behind it, on the other side of some drawers.
The kitty from the Chamber of Starlight, meanwhile, wanted to see what we were doing during the summer. This Starcat made its way into the Sonar Station wing of the H.E.L.M. and resides on the back-facing counter of the central aquarium in the room. It looks like this cat is having some fun knocking bottles around.
Guardians will find the Starcat from the Bay of Drowned Wishes at the northernmost point in the H.E.L.M. It’s just past the War Table. This little friend will be sitting, looking out the window at the Witness’ portal to the Heart of the Traveler.
After leaving the comfort of one bowl, the Alphelion’s Rest Starcat obviously seeks another. This shy little feline can be found hiding in the room that houses the portal to the Athenaeum. It is in a bowl on the shelf to the right.
