Whether you’re looking to store crafted items, Schematics or the items dropped by Pals, you’re going to end up needing a lot of space. When you reach level two, you can craft the Wooden Chest, but you’re soon left feeling that you need more space.

There are a lot of storage items in Palworld, from furniture pieces that double as storage, like the Locker, to dedicated storage pieces like the Refined Metal Chest. All of these items need to be unlocked via the Technology ladder, so be sure to gather up those Technology Points.

Single unlock storage items

There are a few items that unlock on their own as individual items on the Technology ladder. You’ll have to wait a long time between unlocking the Metal Chest and its Refined counterpart, but the jump in storage space is definitely worth it.

Here’s the details for those items:

Storage item sets

Rather than waiting until level 39 in order to unlock the Refined Metal Chest, there are a multitude of storage sets that provide multiple storage items as part of one unlockable option on the Technology ladder.

Currently the final upgrade in terms of storage sets, the Storage Container Set includes the biggest and probably most useful storage item in the game, the Large Container. It’s essentially a shipping container, similar to the ones found on the beaches of Mount Obsidian and boasts 40 slots, the same number of slots as the Refined Metal Chest, but it unlocks 7 levels earlier.

To get the Storage Container Set, you’ll have to reach level 32 and spend one Technology Point.

The Storage Container set comes with the following items:
