Phils Game/Pop Music Similarities #311 - Smooth Ryu Ken
Featuring Street Fighter 2 and 50s jazz.
Greetings fellow game music lovers,
my health is still somewhat shaky, but a short entry to pass the time: Despite the video already being out I still occasionally find something for Street Fighter 2 (1991), in this case a snippet of the Ryu stage theme:
A comparable sample is the central theme of the song "Thursday's Theme" by Benny Golson from 1958:
