Have been playing this online before the servers shut down. It's a struggle to find people still playing it, but the game's fun so it's worth it. A nice distraction while I recover from all that happened. BTW, this is a 3DS monthly challenge from cohost.

Last year I couldn't write nor post my annual games awards, same with movies & TV shows, so I'll share the messages of the best I played and saw in 2023. Journey: simplicity is always better. The Flash: do not live in the past. Beef: control your anger.

The time has come. It was a tough year for most of us and yet here we are, trying to do our best no matter what. Thanks for all the posts, time to read & comment on what I had to say, and for still being a safe place online to this day. Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas, guys. Second top list of 2023. The last one will be on December 31st when I will wish you a happy new year. Enjoy the holidays.

Recovery is going slow and I'm doing certain activities again, little by little. Sharing things online is off the list, except Dtoid and cohost. Here are the best movies I saw this 2023.

Last night I was true to my will to get better and to get out of this depressive crisis I have befallen, as I seldom mentioned in my previous post. Some details in the comments (Dtoid), or over here (cohost).

Last post was on Oct 19th. Feels like forever. Update for those who follow me over here (Dtoid, cohost). I have hit rock bottom. November was difficult, and right now I'm still recovering from all that happened. Remember to speak / ask for help if needed.

This is working again. Good thing some of us started using cohost. Anyways, enjoy Marvel's Spiderman 2 and Super Mario Wonder, guys.

Saw this online. Relatable.

#57 Game beaten in 2023 is: Dead Space Extraction. I thought this was going to be like the RE Chronicles games, but no. Everything here happens so fast, like a lot. Enjoyed the connection between this prequel and DS1, but not the level design. 3.5/5.

#56 Game beaten in 2023 is: Dead Space. I finally gave this series a chance, and loved it as I'm currently playing Extraction (and halfway through, as well). The claustrophobic scenery is great, as well as the gameplay with the exception of puzzles. 4/5.

#8 TV Show of 2023: Castlevania Nocturne. Heads up: this feels like a prologue of what's to come in season 2, so expect a lot of filler here and there. However, I'm thankful for seeing Harmony of Dissonance in a way again. 3/5. Season 2 better be on point

#55 Game beaten in 2023 is: Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate. Learnt my lesson: I'm not going to play Lords of Shadows 2 after this. The good intentions are there, like decent boss battles, but everything else is bland, soulless & repetitive 2/5

#28 Movie of 2023: Gran Turismo. Of the movie surprises of the year, maybe? Went expecting nothing as I've only seen my brother playing the games up to GT6, but this is darn immersive. A racing biopic made for gamers, all right. Really well done. 10/5.

#54 Game beaten in 2023 is: Castlevania Lords of Shadow. I did not like it. I tried, twice, but the level design (among other creative choices), camera, and over explanatory new canon just didn't click. Why most levels had to end too abruptly? 1.5/5.

#27 Movie of 2023: Bottoms. Gotta admit I only watched this to see one actor in particular, and was surprised how over the top, weird, and refreshing this comedy turns out to be. A modern superbad? Maybe, either way the writing is clever & funny. 4.5/5.

#7 TV Show of 2023: This World Can't Tear Me Down. Sequel to the unique 'Tear along the dotted line' from 2021. This is one of those shows I need no trailer or anything else to watch as I know the quality is always top notch. Need another sequel asap. 4/5

#53 Game beaten in 2023 is: the Unfinished Swan. Splatoon made me realize painting your surroundings is actually quite fun. Here you paint to make your way through various puzzles and discover a fable like story. Lovely voice acting. Wish it were longer.

#26 Movie of 2023: Talk to me. I can say this is more drama than horror or psychological horror, but whatever the case, it is done remarkably well. Social commentary since the beginning, and a good one. Created by Youtubers, less is more, alright. 5/5.

Yesterday, I finally participated in a local Just Dance tournament after being a fan of the series for so long, and came in second place. Golden trophy for that, and Platinum for overcoming my social anxiety and dancing around people.

#52 Game beaten in 2023 is: Oddworld Stranger's Wrath (Vita). Having played the first one in the series and not liking it much, this spin off was on my radar for quite some time. I loved how experimental and unique it was. 4/5 due to pacing & difficulty.

#51 Game beaten in 2023 is: Paper Mario Sticker Star. While you can easily beat this game without having to fight many enemies except for bosses, the good ideas were there, just not well executed. A simple (sadly), portable entry in the series. 3/5.

#50 Game beaten in 2023 is: Tengami. Of the few indie titles I grabbed before the store's closure. The game's nice. 1 hour of clever puzzles, soothing soundtrack, and poetry. I found out about it thanks WiiU's best user score in metacritic (new UI?) 4/5.

#49 Game beaten in 2023 is: Splatoon. This one came with the used Wii U alongside BOTW and 3D World, and I don't know why I haden't played it earlier. Could enjoy it more online but I don't like multiplayer. Short campaign, but a blast to play. 3.5/5.

#7 Game replayed in 2023. I started playing it again for my replays (to have the save data I once lost) but most importantly: to play something therapeutic. It's not only my 4th FF title, it's a game easy to get lost in with a timeless lesson. Of the best
